Henry Tulloch - French Bulldog

Background

Five year old Embraced French Bulldog Henry can often be found on the set of NBC's Grimm with his pet parent, actress Bitsie Tulloch. However, one night Bitsie had been out at a concert when she came home to find Henry "hyperventilating, shaking with fear, and paralyzed from the waist down." Henry had suffered a fibrocartilaginous embolism (a stroke in the spine that severed the connection between his brain and his hind limbs).

It would be a month before Henry would walk again. Bitsie shared some of what she experienced that first month with Dogster.com, "He was completely paralyzed from the waist down for a month, and he slowly regained feeling in his legs. He was in diapers, and I had to manually express his bladder and bowels a few times a day -- that's true love!"

Henry went through extensive physical therapy, including acupuncture, hydrotherapy, and underwater treadmill, to regain the use of his hind legs and he'll likely require continued physical therapy for the rest of his life, but he's now back to his sassy, super-friendly self.
